I’m not sure this item is worthy of being sold at Digikey , it literally fell apart after ten pump operations!!! (I bought it out of curiosity, wish I’d not even bothered now to be honest)

I have now got a refund for it from customer services. but I think the item should be assessed for quality … I accept it’s certainly not an expensive tool in any sense of the word, but really do DigiKey really want to put their name to it ???

Solder Pumps with a less than $5 price point are notorious for providing a limited amount of usage, between mechanical failure and the tip melting.

They serve a purpose for somebody that just wants to remove a couple capacitors. It’s definitely a category of product that you get what you pay for.
