1SG280HU1F50E1VG Verification Questions

Hello Friends! We are looking to buy some parts from a Chinese broker for PN 1SG280HU1F50E1VG. They have shared with us that the top marking QR code may not match the lot code marked on the body of the part itself. This sounds strange to me as I have always been under the impression that top marks match the die however is there any time where this is the case or could be possible? Our team is evaluating this lot closely as the cost is extreme and would take almost 60% of our yearly budget so we are being overly cautious. Any help is appreciated.

Greetings,

If component authenticity/integrity is a concern, the safe route is to purchase manufacturer-direct or through a manufacturer-authorized distributor such as DigiKey.

Parts such as the one mentioned which are expensive, rare, and easily damaged from improper handling are uniquely and particularly susceptible to fraud. You are of course free to pursue such a purchase, but absent a capacity on your part to make legal action stick on the seller’s home turf, you assume all risks associated with so doing. Those risks will likely extend beyond the initial purchase price should you resell the part(s) in some fashion.
