Since the 2sa733 is no longer available, would an ECG159 be a suitable replacement. Any help is appreciated.
Hello daibhidh1950 and welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.
From what I can find regarding ECG159, this appears to be obsolete as well. If it was not, it also appears to have a lower collector emitter breakdown voltage and collector current.
I was able to find the options linked HERE that may work as a replacement for 2SA733, they do have a higher Collector emitter breakdown voltage and some do have a collector current.
Thank you Nick for your quick response. I thought I would ask because I have a ECG159 on hand.
I have found a supplier in my area (Montreal) who has NTE290A transistors in stock. These might be a better option.
