what is the cause and a solution for a plate voltage on a 6v6 at pin 3 of 520vdc
Hello mikecasey,
Would you be able to provide more information about the device and application where you are seeing this voltage?
Hello @mikecasey,
Pin 3 is the plate (anode) pin for the 6V6. This is where we find the highest voltages in the amplifier.
In my opinion, 520 VDC is high for a 6V6.

Was the rectifier tube (e.g. 5U4 or 5R4) replaced with s solid state rectifier?
-
Does the amplifier have a cathode bias e.g., a ≈ 500 Ω resistor pin 8 to chassis?
Happy New Year!
