80-pin connector tool

HI,

I would like to make a round cable with this connector and it’s associated shell:
DX30A-80P(50) Hirose Electric Co Ltd | Connectors, Interconnects | DigiKey

What tool and cable do people use to make such a cable? The shell is for a round cable, so this isn’t just a ribbon cable connector.

Welcome to the Digikey tech forum. Here’s a list of cable options to look at. From the data sheet information it should be 28awg wire used with this connector. Digikey part H123271-ND in an option for the backshell. The tools are listed on pages 218 to 221 on the data sheet along with instructions. You will want to follow the discrete wire options and decide which will work best for you.
