# Alicat Scientific - BASIS 2.0 - Analog output type?

What type of analog output does it have?

I need to purchase a 4–20 mA model, but the website does not specify the analog output type.

The manufacturer does not provide ordering information that would allow me to properly read the part number and determine its specifications.

Welcome to the Community!

Based on the supplier’s specification for **[B-500C-N4V25A-000000](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/alicat-scientific/B-500C-N4V25A-000000/25621463?s=N4IgTCBcDaIEIFoCsAGFBhBA5ALANTCQEEE0yUQBdAXyA)**, this unit appears to be configured with a **0-5 VDC analog output**. If you require a **4-20 mA output** , a different model configuration would be needed.

Amplifying information from the OEM:

> Thanks for reaching out! The analog I/O is not software selectable, as the devices are configured with one or the other. Based on the part number provided, this device would be 0-5 Vdc.
> 
> B-500C-N4\*\*V\*\*25A-000000 the V resembles this; if this was a C, the device is configured with 4-20 mA.
