Hi,
I am designing a power supply and i need a capacitor which can handle a 2A-4A ripple current (per capacitor). Total ripple current is about 135A and I will be using a few caps in parallel.
So far I could find CKG57KX7R1H475M335JJ with a decent capacitance 47uF and a 2.8Arms ripple current at 200Khz. But however this is made in China.
Is there an alternate capacitor for this with similar characteristics ?
Greetings,
I’d point out that the device mentioned has a nominal capacitance of 4.7uF, and that a substantial portion of this gets lost under DC bias. Not sure if the mention of 47 was a typo, but it’d seem rather disruptive to one’s plans if not.
Is there any particular reason you were looking at ceramic-based devices? The polymer 'lytics are offering some rather impressive numbers these days.
Anyhow, 135A of ripple @ 200kHz is the sort of territory where being picky about one’s capacitors it warranted. Some additional info about your application would help to guide additional suggestions. Happy to take that discussion offline if you’d prefer.
Yes, it was a typo CKG57NX7R1H476M500JH is the correct part number. The reason I am looking these capacitors is because of its ripple current rating. I have about 135A of ripple current. This is for a switch mode power supply.
Do you have an alternate capacitor with a high ripple current and good capacitance with 50V rating ?
I cannot use COO China
There’s a shorter list of similar products here that may be worth your attention.
Thank you!!!
You’re welcome. Do at least give some of these hybrid polymers a look though, as the figures really are quite impressive.
