Arduino, Dragonwing Board ABX00173: "ABX00162" Board Marking?

Arduino are the creators of the eponymous Arduino SBCs (single-board computers) and their surrounding ecosystem, one of the most popular hobbyist and small project frameworks in the world. One product they offer is their ABX00173 Dragonwing-series UNO board, which ships out with “ABX00162” markings on the board even when one orders ABX00173. Is this correct? Why would the 4GB board be marked the same way as the 2GB board?

In this case, this marking isn’t an issue. The board itself is identical between versions, with the only physical difference between them being the memory IC used. The ABX00162 marking is communal to all the boards made for this particular base product, and the memory IC’s markings should be verified before checking for misshipment.
