Is the battery charging circuit optimized for any particular type of battery?

The output voltage would imply lead-acid batteries as the expected chemistry. While detailed documentation seems difficult to come by, one might imagine the “rated current” on “channel 2” to refer to a battery charge current limit, which would be a bit spicy for the common 7Ah format but quite comfortable for the also-common 12Ah size.

I reached out to MEAN WELL for verification.
They indicated, “It is mainly used for a lead-acid battery”.
With that and what @rick had indicated the below link shows items that we have on hand look like they would be a good fit.
