# Broadcom Fiber Transmitter AFBR-1521CZ: MSL/Baking Temperature?

[Broadcom Limited](https://www.digikey.com/en/supplier-centers/broadcom) offers a diverse array of fiber optic products, including their [AFBR-1521CZ](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/broadcom-limited/AFBR-1521CZ/6685415) discrete receiver. Sometimes, we’re asked what the baking recommendation from the manufacturer is for these products. Is there any documentation for this process available?

DigiKey treats these as MSL 3 products within our own internal storage and handling policies. Broadcom has no especial recommendations for this product specifically; instead, the recommendation is to follow the MSL label for the products and adhere to industry standard baking practices prior to assembly.
