Hi everyone,
I noticed that there is no dedicated datasheet or clear documentation available for part number SESD8008MUTAG of onsemi, while detailed information exists for ESD8008MUTAG.
For reference, the product family can be found here:
https://www.digikey.com/en/products/filter/transient-voltage-suppressors-tvs/tvs-diodes/144?s=N4IgjCBcpgnAHLKoDGUBmBDANgZwKYA0IA9lANogAMIAugL73EBMFIAogMoAi8VV8ALIBVACoBBAOJ16QA
To clarify the differences, I contacted the manufacturer directly. Below is their official response:
Based on the available internal data, SESD8008MUTAG and ESD8008MUTAG share the same package, pinout, die, and material composition. They also have the same assembly location and marking, and both are industrial-grade parts (unlike SZESD8008MUTAG, which is automotive grade).
The only internal difference noted is in the wafer assembly process:
• SESD8008MUTAG uses a 4 mm edge exclusion
• ESD8008MUTAG uses a universal wafer mapBased on this, ESD8008MUTAG and SESD8008MUTAG can be considered electrically and mechanically equivalent.
Although SESD8008MUTAG lacks its own datasheet, it is effectively equivalent to ESD8008MUTAG in terms of electrical and mechanical performance, with only minor internal manufacturing differences.
