For the part numbers from Comchip, you may see the “G” suffix but not mentioned on the datasheet.
Confirmed by manufacturers,
Suffix -G stands for RoHS Compliant
Suffix -HF stands for RoHS Compliant AND Halogen-Free
For some old part numbers (with suffix -G) may still accept for ordering.
For example, CDBM140-HF is the currently supplied part number, but the manufacturer may still support the old part number CDBM140-G for certain customers so it’s just a label change. These two parts are identical in electrical and dimensional specification.
It is safely to use the –HF version without any issues.
