Comparing Dimensions for Digikey 1528-590-ND (Adafruit 590) and 1528-1100-ND (Adafruit 1606)

Hi DigiKey Support,
I’m comparing two Adafruit listings and need dimensional confirmation before ordering:

Both appear to reference the same Adafruit full-size Perma-Proto board family, but the DigiKey dimension fields differ (590 shows 165 x 56 mm, 1606 shows 157 x 51 mm), while the datasheets/descriptions look effectively the same except pack quantity.
Can you please confirm whether 590 and 1606 are the same physical PCB dimensions, with 590 simply being a 3-pack? And if they are indeed the same, which listing shows the true dimensions?

Thank you.

Greetings,

This distinction is indeed simply a 1- vs. 3-pack.

As for actual dimensions, the general rule is that the manufacturer’s product specifications are to be considered authoritative in all instances, since they’re the guarantors of the product whereas info on the DigiKey site is simply the product of a (large) aggregation effort subject to error.

That rule is more of a guideline in this instance, as companies that principally serve hobby/educational markets tend to be less rigorous in their documentation than those serving commercial production. The thickness figure in this figure is almost certainly rounded up rather than literal, and while the length & width figures would appear to be close based on standard breadboard dimensions, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they weren’t spot on either.

Hi rick_1976,

Thank you so much for your response! That was even more informative than I had hoped. I appreciate your due diligence and attention to detail. I will bear all of this in mind moving forward.

Thanks again,
