Comus International is an industrial sensing supplier focusing on turnkey motion-detecting sensors. One such sensor they offer is AG3011-77C, a tilt switch that can detect direction of tilt from horizontal. We’ve had some questions recently concerning this product’s behavior when the equipment it’s mounted to is level/not tilted. If tilt one way Makes the contacts and tilt the other way Breaks them, what is “not tilted”?
When level, this switch can exist in either make or Break states and does not have any manufacturer guaranteed behavior. Its behavior at dead level is uncertain, the device is better used to detect changes in inclination rather than used to monitor for a specific state of inclination.
