I would like to inquire about test fixtures. Our company currently has Connectors (e.g. SEAF-40-07.5-S-08-2-A-K-TR) that cannot be verified for cold solder joints through flying probe testing because the test points are covered with solder mask. Are there any recommended verification methods, such as connector receptacle testing (mating connector test)? Thank you.
Hello eartha.liao.
I would think that inserting a mating connector and testing off that would work, but I am reaching out to our engineering to see if there is a better way.
Hi Nick,
"Thank you very much for your reply. We are currently unable to contact the connector manufacturer to confirm if they have a mating connector. Do you have any other recommended manufacturers? The original X-ray inspection method still has a risk of missing defects, so we hope to approach this from an electrical testing perspective.
