hello i am gonna buy this thing to put my cryostat feedthrough hole which has aluminum flange with hole.
but at the datasheet it says solder mount.
i am wonderin if it is possible to soler it to aluminum. or what elsi i need to do.
thanks.

I believe for a hermetic seal you need it to be soldered in place.

You can not solder to aluminum, so I don’t think you can get a truly hermetic seal easily.

However, if you don’t need a true hermetic seal, you can probably use some epoxy, or improvised hardware, to attach the connector to an aluminum tube.

for example; colorless epoxy?

I’m just a forum member and not familiar with the epoxies sold by Digi-Key. Somebody else may have recommendation.
