I would like to place an order for 270off but need reassurance that the date codes can be checked as our end customer has stated that these parts cannot have the date codes 2217 or 2424 markings.

I have tried asking the question through email but get back an automated response

I would really appreciate a solution, as ready to place an order via the Cabletonics account

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.
Our official reply is: DigiKey is unable to provide part specific details of stock prior to shipment. If there are any special requirements for your order, please include them into the order notes and DigiKey will attempt to accommodate.
With our updated warehouse, and changes made, we can not request to have our stock checked for the available date codes. It can only be checked when the parts are picked, when the order is being filled. When you place an order, you can put your requirements in the order notes, that you can not except a date code of 2217 or 2424. Then when they pick the parts for the order, that would be checked.

I would certainly like to place an order online and would add the special requirement that we cannot accept parts with date codes showing 2217 or 2424 in the order notes.

Until I can confirm the date codes, my end customer will not place an order with us, so there is a chance these parts could ship without the codes being checked. If this situation happens, can I return the goods with no cost to Cabletronics?

Ideally, I would like to place the order online but also send the PO via email to ensure the parts are checked. If this is an option, what is the best direct email I could send this PO to?

Thank you for your reply.

I will also need the Manufacturing C of C. Can I also request this certificate along with the date code checks on the order notes

As I am requesting two checks, I am concerned that placing this online may be missed, and I would prefer to order via email so I can send an official PO. This would allow me to highlight the request on the attached PO and also state these two requirements in the email.

Appreciate your feedback, as I ideally would like to order on Mon 10th Aug.

You can also put the request for the C of C in the order notes.
If you have to send a separate request for the C of C, that would need to go to customer.resolution@digikey.com. For a faster response, you can call us at 1-800-344-4539, and ask for the customer resolution department.
