It should be seamless, but this post on dfrobot’s forum has me worried that something changed in Windows. GCtech USB isolator GC-112 / FIT0860 not working- DFRobot Forum
That is very similar to the problem I am having. Any device I plug into the computer with this in line does not work. I need a fix or an alternative because this system is in a high RF evvieoment and common currents along the sub ports are causing signal loss. We are currently using ferrite mix 31 toroids but that is causing issues because of the bulk and length off cable required. Is there a similar alternative available that is proven with windows 11? Or a driver?

Adafruit also produced a product with this chipset, notice the note on usb2 limitation… This might require an old USB port…
It worries me when I see a jumper for USB 2 speed controls..
