# Does Cable Discoloration on TE K81C/KILOVAC Series Relays Affect Performance or Reliability?

For [TE](https://www.digikey.com/en/supplier-centers/te-connectivity-aerospace) [**K81C, KILOVAC**](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/result?s=N4IgjCBcoLQCxVAYygMwIYBsDOBTANCAG4B2aWehA9lANrgBMADA3AOwgC6hADgC5QQIAL6igA) **Relays** , If some units have been observed with **pink (purple) discoloration on the cable**, as shown in the photograph below. We have checked this condition with the supplier and asked whether the discoloration has any impact on the product’s performance or usability.

The supplier has confirmed that this discoloration is only a cosmetic variation and **does not affect** the product’s performance, reliability or functionality.
