Can I install the 10.1 inch driver package on the same OS and it would auto detect the one to use? Then I could clone the same image whether it’s being used with the 7 or 10.1 inch HMI?

EDATEC has you run a re-configure script in Raspbian:
That script is hosted here: https://apt.edatec.cn/bsp/ed-install.sh in that devices directory they have a json config file for every device: https://apt.edatec.cn/bsp/devices/

Thanks! I’ll just have to re-configure it, or maintain a separate image… I just found its possible to run Pyside2 apps without the bloat of desktop which is perfect for the custom controls I wish to build with RPI.
