I bought an ESP32C6 1N8, but I can’t connect it to my PC. When I connect it to the PC via the UART port, the PC detects it but we can’t establish communication; when I connect it via the USB port, the PC doesn’t detect the device.

Please confirm which of the ESP32-C6 dev kits this is.. Do you have it plugged into an expansion board?

You can manually force boot-loader mode by, holding down the BOOT button and press RESET, then release BOOT.

Some of these have SiLabs usb uart translation… [CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Drivers - Silicon Labs](https://www.silabs.com/software-and-tools/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers?tab=downloads)

Serial port COM4

A fatal error occurred: Could not open COM4, the port is busy or doesn’t exist.
(could not open port ‘COM4’: FileNotFoundError(2, ‘Sistem belirtilen dosyay bulamyor.’, None, 2))

Hint: Check if the port is correct and ESP connected

I tried what you suggested. I also reinstalled the CP2102 driver from scratch. I tried again: I held down the boot button and pressed the reset button as soon as the connection started, but it didn’t enter boot mode. I’m using Arduino IDE as my compiler, but I also installed the Espressif IDF to see the device; however, I can’t connect to the device at all. I purchased the device from Digi-Key.

In Windows Device Manager does this device show up as using COM4 uart?

Also have tried a second usb cable, some are “charging” only..

Yeap, confirmed, it’s showing up at COM4

Is the “arduino” Serial Monitor open? that would take over COM4 from the flashing application..

What are the two short-circuited connectors on it, and what do they do? Once I short-circuited them, it started displaying data and responding to programming via the USB connector.
