# ESR70 ESR Meter - Gold Edition

A question we sometimes see here at DigiKey is whether someone purchasing the [ESR70](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/peak-electronic-design-limited/ESR70/9687220) ESR (equivalent series resistance) meter from [Peak Electronic Design Ltd](https://www.digikey.com/en/supplier-centers/peak) will be receiving the new ‘Gold’ version of the tool seen in the product image and datasheet for the device.

The answer is yes: all of our current stock of the tool was shipped after Peak made the change to the Gold edition of the meter, and we will no longer be receiving older versions of the device. You can safely assume you will be receiving the newest, hottest version of the meter.
