> Evaluation and expansion boards and daughter cards are used to add functionality to microcontroller platforms and are designed to stack onto existing pin headers or preconfigured attachment ports. Common function types include, amplifiers, atomizers, audio, clock timing, interface connectivity, data acquisition/logging, display, human interface, memory, motor drivers, optoelectronics, power management, prototyping, relay and transistors, RF and sensor arrays.

  

**Selection**** Characteristics**

> **Platform:** Indicates a standardized set of products, hardware form factor, and/or interconnect specification with which a product is intended for use or intended to be compatible.

> **Type:** Defines the broad overall functionality the device is designed to introduce or enhance in the host system it’s integrated into.

> **Function:** Provides further detail on the specific functionality the device is designed to introduce or enhance in the host system it’s integrated into.

> **Utilized IC / Part:** Indicates the central integrated circuit the device is designed around.

> **Contents:** Indicates items included with purchase.
