The very first thing I do for any component search is to toggle from “Scrolling” to “Stacked” filter view. I would love an account setting that allows for this to be toggled to a default state. This setting does not carry over for me between browser sessions.
Further user default setting would also be greatly appreciated (e.g. Sort price by ascending, preferred packages and availability settings).
I help teach EE students how to navigate the site for senior design projects. It would make the site far more approachable if I could help them set their account up with reliable defaults rather than warning them that they need to perform a list of actions before any search to get the results they need. Many students feel overwhelmed and return to trying their with the first thing that appears on Amazon or Jameco.

For what it’s worth, in desperation I had asked your chat agents where to find the feedback area because it does not live where I would expect it under the Contact and Support area. I had not noticed that tab because it lives in a nonstandard area far enough to the side that it may as well not exist at a glance. The visual noise and ads on browsers has trained me to ignore anything that isn’t at the direct top, bottom, or center of the page when looking for key info. I will add a recommendation to include a feedback link under the Contact and Support section.
This setting should be persistent as long as your cookies aren’t clearing automatically when you close a browser. If it’s not behaving correctly there may be a bug or other issue. I’ll DM you to ask for more details.
I have default install settings for both Chrome and Firefox. They both retain the “Stacked” option when opening a new tab, but they lose that after closing the tabs and restarting the browser. This is a frustration I have had for years and has been true for me across multiple machines and browsers, nearly always with default install settings on cookies and privacy. I have had better luck with Vivaldi, but it’s a bit too quirky for me to recommend to my students as a solution.
Individual browser setting aside, the need to make this an account default setting rather than a basic site cookie comes from the fact that both I and students are regularly working from different benches on a network desktop client. The solution we need has to be portable and browser independent.
The absolute dream would be the ability to create favorited search profiles to automatically filter results for all the common search parameters (In Stock, Normally Stocking, Datasheet, small quantity packaging, mounting type, etc). DigiKey already has the best parametric search options by far. It would be a massive game changer if I could walk people through a one-and-done setup for early success on their projects. This would also likely be a huge boon for people working under a short list of approved manufacturers or other target specifications. I know that may be an ambitious ask, but it could seriously set you apart from competition and remove major barriers to entry by helping manage complexity.
