Help Identifying Older Rectangular Connector

I need help identifying the connector series pictured. Both connectors are from the same series. Brand unknown.
What I do know:

  • Rectangular connectors
  • Receptacles have pins, plugs have sockets
  • Not sealed
  • Crimp pins/sockets
  • The mating cross-section is rectangular with a rectangular key on one side of the row.
  • Plugs latch using two latches, one on either side of the row.

Another view. Sorry for the poor quality, these are being sent to me by a customer.

Looks like some old proprietary automotive connector. Could they not be replaced with some other connector?

You didn’t provide any information about the size. Maybe you could “jury-rig” them to work with ITT trident rectangular connectors. They accept pin or socket
