Hi everyone,
Could someone help me find a replacement for the micro switch pictured below?
It’s for an AR Blue Clean 390 pressure washer.
Thank you!
Alex
Would you think this one may work?
Hello doriawar,
Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.
The one in your picture looks very similar to 480-6232-ND but I’m not sure based on the markings if it’s the right circuitry and what the actual one in the picture is. The 480-6232-ND is SPST-NC and it’s for a bit higher amps than what the pictures show. This one is a basic normally on - momentary off when pressed function but your pictures also don’t show the connecting terminals nor the type of actuator, nor its actual size, so it’s difficult to determine if 480-6232-ND will work as needed. Please review its data sheet carefully and verify if it can work for you.
Hello,
Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum. I wasn’t able to find any information on the switch in the photos you provided. Are the contacts broke off, how do you connect the wires to this? Can you provide photos of the top, bottom and ends ?
Hello @doriawar
Switch part number 480-6232-ND offered by Irfan is a SPST-NC matching your switch circuit.
Aspects to verify if this will work for you:
The terminals are .250" quick connects.
The datasheet provides details of dimensions.
Yes, the drawing in my first image shows a clear match to the micro switch I first suggested.
I have verified the connectors, they have the same dimensions, so all I need to do is solder the wires and I should be good to go.
Irfan said in their previous post that the 480-6232-ND is SPST-NC is for a bit higher amps than what the pictures show, but in my switch and image I see both 16 A and 22 GPA amp. Is this a problem?
Thank you,
Alex
The amp rating is a maximum so you can use a switch with a higher amperage number but not a lower number. The 480-6232-ND has a current rating of 22A GPA.
