# If pins are installed in an Amphenol plug or not

In the Amphenol 97-3106A2428P plug, are the pins installed, included, or to be bought separately?

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum! Part 97-3106A-24-28P, DigiKey part number [339-97-3106A-24-28P-ND](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/amphenol-industrial-operations/97-3106A-24-28P/340986), is a [connector assembly](https://forum.digikey.com/t/circular-connector-assemblies/31939) which means the housing, inserts, and contacts will come together. In cases where they don’t come as a unit, they will typically be catagorized separately.
