I was recently helping a customer that was looking for an Infineon SCR part number and it had an Extra Suffix of HPSA2 at the end of the part number and they wanted to know what they were, and whether they affect the function of the part?

This is Known as the OPN (orderable part number) Suffix

it consists of 5 digits and denotes details such as environmental compliance packaging and other items.

The OPN suffix does not affect the fit, form, or function of the base part number.

Here is a link to Infineon’s site breaking down the meaning of the OPN suffix codes
