고유 제한은 변압기가 과부하 또는 단락 될 때 변압기 스스로 보호하고 고장에서 자동으로 정상 복귀됨을 의미합니다. 이런 변압기는 퓨즈가 필요하지 않습니다. 비-고유 제한이란 변압기가 과부하 또는 단락 될 때 변압기 스스로 보호하지 못하며 자동으로 정상 복귀되지 않음을 의미합니다. 이런 변압기는 퓨즈가 필요합니다.
