I would like to purchase a DC power supply capable of providing 12 V / 40 mA and 5 V / 40 mA for components in our experimental setup. However, we have experienced significant electrical noise issues with other DC power supplies, which are clearly visible in the spectra obtained from our spectrometer.
When we replaced the 12 V power supply with a B&K Precision 9201B (which we had purchased for another purpose), the noise issue improved substantially. This suggests that our current power supplies may have inherent noise problems, and switching to a B&K Precision model could resolve the issue.
May I ask whether the B&K Precision 9129B can provide similarly low-noise performance as the 9201B? Since we need to power two components, purchasing the 9129B would be more cost-effective and practical than buying two 9201B units.
Thank you.
