Is the wire diameter for a single wire or is it for the two twisted wires together?

------Question for TWC-2403-BW-R Please Put your question below------

The diameter of the insulated wire is listed as 1.1mm, and I am wondering if that is for one wire or for the combined twisted wire. I assume it is for one wire, so the combination is 2.2mm, but I would love some clarification.

Greetings,

The diameter of a 24AWG conductor is roughly 0.5 to 0.6mm depending on strand configuration. Two such conductors side by side would essentially be equal/greater than the 1.1mm figure, so the latter would needfully be in reference to the insulation/jacket diameter of a single conductor.

Rick has it, and for direct confirmation you can check the datasheet:
173172

It shows the diameter for each piece, with each conductor being 0.609mm and each jacket being 1.1mm, so yes, it would be roughly 2.2mm diameter for the pair collectively.
