Label discrepancy

We purchased item 192288-0R3 but the item we received got the label 192288G-0R3. Could you clarify this?

Hello,
Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum. I don’t any reference to part 192288G-0R3 being a valid number. Can you send us a photo of the label so we can check into this further.

Hi Steve, pls refer to the attached image

Thanks for the photos. I have sent a request to the manufacturer for verification and will post the information when I receive it.

Hi Steve,

Please get back to us by the end of this week. Our production schedule is fast approaching, and we are running out of time to finalize our plans.

Thank you,

Sorry for the delay, I’m working on it. I have contacted the manufacturer 3 times with this request and will post when I get it.

Hi Steve

Could you update me the status of this request? Thank you

Hi Kalina,
Sorry but I have no information to provide for this. I have not received information but it’s unlikely the G has any relevance to the function of the part.

It seems that NI is a little loose with their part numbering.

Looking at their product page here, they show the part number we show as 192288-0R3, along with a few other names/numbers, including:

  • SH SCSI68M-VHDCI68M EPM Cable
  • SHC68-C68-EPM
  • 192288-0R3

If you scroll down a ways on that page, there’s a link to a drawing under “Resources”:

If you click on that link, a new page opens and you can find a pdf link to a drawing. The title for that drawing, in the lower right corner, is “SCH68-68M-EPM”. I note that that is one of the part numbers printed on the cable that you received.

This is all to say that it’s highly likely that you have the correct cable. They seem to use several different numbers to represent this cable.
