I’ve been trying to find an actual replacement Q4006LT triac that’s internally triggered. However, I cannot seem to find a replacement within the same specs. Any ideas how to find one in an exact or close match within specs? Thanks.
Welcome to the TechForum AdinPanthers,
You can search for the different TRIAC options here in this parametric search engine in the DigiKey website,
TRIACs | Discrete Semiconductor Products | DigiKey
It looks like you are trying to replace this one (Q4006LT triac)
from your comments it looks like you can use a TRIAC like this one
Q4008LTTP,
Q4006LTTP Littelfuse Inc. | TRIACs | DigiKey
Anyway please double check all of your requirements to make sure this is ok with the system. This is not meant to be an exact replacement for your project, but only to serve as a guideline, so please double check the specifications again. Have a nice day!
Regards
Hello AdinPanthers
You can contact sales@digikey.com or orders@digikey.com department and inquire to see if you can get a quote for smaller quantities of this item. (Help Support Link here)
If that does not work for you, please go to the Littlelfuse manufacturers website and request 2 samples.
Have a nice day!

Hi AdinPanthers,
I would suggest that you consider the very similar Q4010LTTP as an alternative to the Q4006LT. It comes from the same series, has the same isolated TO-220 package, and the only significant difference is that it can handle up to 10A rather than just 6A.
It has superior specifications in just about every respect. The only specification that one might consider “inferior” is that the minimum holding current (the minimum current required to pass through from MT2 to MT1 to keep the triac turned on) is 60mA rather than 50mA. As long as your load, when switched on, is significantly more than 60mA, this should not be a concern.
Here’s the datasheet for both the Q4006LT and Q4010LTTP for comparison of specs.
Note that the “TP” suffix just mean that it comes in a “tube pack” rather than in bulk packaging. I found this info in a separate document.
