If you are new to the PIC microcontroller, may I recommend you start with a nano curiosity board such as [this](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/microchip-technology/EV72J15A/16709789?s=N4IgTCBcDaIKIDUDsYBSBGArAQRAXQF8g) or [this](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/microchip-technology/DM164137/5252514?s=N4IgTCBcDaICIFkCMA2ALEgzAdhAXQF8g). The evaluation board provide a convenient way to get started including a built-in programmer / debugger.
