Why the Crouzet PLC? At this point in the pathway, the Crouzet PLC is the appropriate tool for teaching industrial control logic. Its graphical gate-level programming preserves the foundations of Boolean logic, while Sequential Function Chart makes states and transitions visible. This allows students to begin state-machine work earlier and spend more time practicing interlocks, permissives, resets, sequencing, and fault handling in the industrial environment where those ideas will be applied.

The Crouzet platform is used as a practical teaching implementation, not as the instructional objective. The underlying logic and state-machine concepts are transferable to other PLC platforms.
