Is there any plan for discontinuing this product in the future?

Welcome to the TechForum piousjohn56! I do not see any new notices on status change for this part or the series. There is no evidence it is going obsolete any time soon. In general, DigiKey does not receive these notices well in advance. They are issued about the same time that the manufacturer updates the status.
