NXP FS27 Release Date?

Hi,

I have a PCB design that utilizes the new PFS2700BMDA0AD (NXP FS27) chip. Online sources initially said this unit was going to be available by Q4 2025.

NXP customer support ticket responses keep telling me to contact the distributor! Seems like the NXP help I received was awful! DigiKey support told me to post here.

Let me know if anyone had a similar experience or more information.

I only need 10-15 chips, but ASAP.

Thanks,

Steve Krug

Hello Steve,

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum! I have an internal inquiry out to see if we can hopefully get an answer on this one. We will advise as soon as we hear back.

Klint

Great, thank you so much Klint.

Good afternoon Steve,

The supplier replied to the inquiry and have advised that as of this moment the product is scheduled for release June 2026. They did mention the product still needs qualifications and so it could be delayed beyond that. As of right now, 6/26 is the current scheduled plan, though.

Regards,
Klint

Thank you for the response and looking into this matter. Is there any way to get sample units still?

Steve,

I am not sure if it is possible, however I’ll inquire to see what I can find out and if so I’ll try advise how one would obtain them. In the event that I don’t hear back from them today, have a good weekend!

Regards,
Klint

Hi Klint,

Any updates on how I could get sample units? Only like 10 parts? It’s important for us.

Hello Steve,

I have not heard back on this yet, however I’ve reached out again requesting an update. I will advise when I hear back.

Regards,
Klint

Great, thanks.

Hello steve12,

I wanted to give a heads up that we’re still looking into how we might be able to create a pathway in which you can request engineering samples.

Thank you Klint. Yes, please keep me updated. This is extremely helpful.

Hey Klint,
Do you have an update on this?

Hello Steve,

I appreciate your patience on this one; we’re still awaiting word on how we can make the engineering samples available for you. I apologize I don’t have any more information beyond that at the moment.

Regards,
Klint

Sounds good, thank you for the update.
