Ohmite 5007e dial plate diameter

Hello,

the datasheet says the diameter is 1 1/4“ and next to it 38.10mm. Thats a wrong conversion. Does anyone know if these are roughly 31,75mm or 38.10mm? Thanks! Jakob

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.

On the data sheet we have of this product it only states 1, 1/4" without mm conversion. I’m not sure where you’re seeing the 38.10mm next to it. It’s not in our description nor product attributes and I don’t see on the TDS.

Hi jakob1,

If you notice, all of the various parts in both of those documents list nice standard measurements (simple common fractions) in inches, whereas the values in metric units are not “nice” round numbers. This indicates that they were made to the inch standard rather than mm standard.

Doing the conversion math from inches to mm, they all agree except for the 5007E, so they made an error when doing that conversion. The 11/4" value is the correct value, which translates to 31.75mm.
