I am interested in the DH-20M50052
(USB A to USB C) cable. Our product has a recessed USB-C port, so the overmold around the USB-C male end cannot be greater than 12.5 mm in length. The datasheet shows nearly every measurement except for this one.
Can anyone tell me if this cable will fit into our device?
Hey Nathan,
Thanks for finding my forum note, and for taking my call earlier. The 1175-105-1028-BL-00100-ND is more than twice as expensive, and since it’s a really basic cable, we just want to see if the DH-20M50052 could work.
Cheers,
Jon
For future reference, decent estimates of missing dimensions can be made from scaled drawings by zooming in, using a ruler, and calculating a ratio relative to some other dimensioned feature.
Not quite suitable if an ‘estimate’ won’t do, but when getting within a percent or two is close enough it can save a lot of time and trouble.
Thanks Rick,
Based on the ratios, it looked like it would fit, but we just wanted to be certain! The clearance is still less than a millimeter!
Cheers,
Jon
