# Part Numbering - TDK 3225X5R1A156MT

Is the T suffix no longer needed on [TDK](http://www.digikey.com/en/supplier-centers/t/tdk) MLCC parts such as [3225X5R1A156MT](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/tdk-corporation/C3225X5R1A156M230AA/1944422?s=N4IgTCBcDaIDoBcAsSCsBaAzATlQBnTHQDkAREAXQF8g) If the T suffix is still needed for the tape and reel why do we have it listed without it in our system?

The T suffix is not needed by TDK distributors anymore because the parts are only offered in T&R. Many years ago, their MLCC’s used to be available in bulk and T&R, so the T suffix was needed to call out T&R. They have since dropped the T suffix, but it has been added to the family screen because some customers still have that suffix on their BOMs.
