According to the manufacturer, this variation is within their defined manufacturing standard and specification for the potting level, and both appearances are considered acceptable.

Regarding the potting level, our specification requires that all exposed critical components inside the housing be adequately covered and sealed. We do not have a defined minimum or maximum potting level; therefore, variations in the potting height are acceptable as long as all critical components are fully sealed and the product meets all applicable functional requirements.
Regarding the residual adhesive, the preferred condition is to have no excess or residue present. However, minor adhesive residue is considered acceptable as long as it does not affect the fit, form, or function of the product.
Therefore, based on the conditions described and shown in the pictures, both conditions may be considered acceptable, provided the above criteria are met. Future shipments may present some variation in potting level or minor adhesive residue, but the acceptance criteria will remain the same.
