Our client was asking what is the expected lifetime for these plastic plugs? and if there are any quality documents that we can get for it?
I will see if Essentra Components has information on that.
I have been told that the 62MP0437 (RPC7074-ND) product has a shelf life of 5 years with moisture in packaging. The manufacturer indicates that they don’t have a document report for that.
I am still waiting on some more information on this items lifetime values.
The manufacturer indicated they are reaching out to another team for the rest of the data.
The manufacturer also provided the below for information related to installed lifetime of the product.
"For this application, there is no reason to believe that the plugs would fail as long as the customer uses the called out mounting hole diameter and does not exceed the called out max panel thickness.
They will not be under strain or subjected to vibration and are UV stabilized. However, we do not have any test reports to confirm this, only the MDS for the UV stabilized material."
