------Question for D405-120 Please Put your question below------
We would like to buy 405nm laser diodes, e.g. item D405-120. According to datasheet there is a ± 10nm wavelength uncertainty. We definitely need a diode which we can tune (with temperature) to pretty much exactly 405nm (say ±0.5nm). Would you have a batch which you know to be closer to 405nm or some other way to increase the probability of correct wavelength for the ordered product?

Hello @jan.dziewior,
Thank you for your post.
Unfortunately we only have a few options with the wavelength of 405nm.

The wavelength tolerance can sometimes be tuned through the use of peripheral components, but that would all depend on the application and things like temperature control.
We really do not have much for information on that process.
The underlying physics of a device don’t depend on how a device is marketed; one can expect the emitted wavelength to vary with drive current and temperature regardless of whether those effects are characterized in the product documentation or not.
Since the number of applications requiring precise wavelength control is relatively limited, the number of device suppliers catering to such uses is also limited. You’re welcome to leverage the innate characteristics of the technology to suit your needs, just do so with the awareness that variance in any device characteristics not controlled by the product specification will be your problem to cope with, rather than one that the manufacturer is responsible for.
