# Replace Yamaha 10K rotary volume pot

Hi! Hoping to replace broken (and missing) rotary pot in a Yamaha HS5 studio monitor for my kid. USA source for this exact part (pictured) is out of stock.

Yamaha HS5 / HS7 / HS8 Level Pot Rotary 10KA Part ZD592100 / ZN860200  
VR ROTARY A 10.0K XVB12111YN HS8  
Fits HS5 / HS7 / HS8 Level rotary pot 10KA

I can solder a bit, have replaced guitar pots and played with a couple other things in the past, but my knowledge ends there. Would be thankful for any help!

Stumbling through the site I’ve found a couple parts that look similar, like this one:

Hello,

I could not find a data sheet on your potentiometer part number ZD592100.

Your best option is to take a look at the data sheet for the PTV111-1415A-A103-ND and compare it to what you have.
