Replacement for Broadcom MegaRAID 9540-8i with Equivalent Specifications

Hello ,

I am looking for the recommended replacement for the Broadcom MegaRAID 9540-8i (P/N: 05-50134-03), as it has been discontinued by the manufacturer.

Could anyone advise which current Broadcom model is considered the direct replacement with similar specifications, performance, and features?

If you have experience migrating from the 9540-8i, I would appreciate it if you could share:

- The recommended replacement model.

- Any differences in features or performance.

- Whether it is a drop-in replacement or if there are compatibility considerations.

Per Broadcom’s official Product Discontinuance Notification (EOL-295133), 05-50134-25 (9520-8i) is the recommended replacement for the 9540-8i (P/N 516-05-50134-03-ND).

We don’t currently carry 05-50134-25.
