Rose Aluminium Enclosures - Colour Codes

We’re thinking of purchasing 902-1192-ND, manufactuer’s part number 010813068. We think the last digit, in this case ‘8’, specifies the paint colour but the data-sheet doesn’t seem to give any info. about this. The notes below the image suggest it has an un-painted lid but says nothing about the body.

Does anyone know
a) does the ‘8’ specify the colour, if so what is it?
b) what other colour options may be available, included un-painted?

I think I figured it out based on the product pages and the manufacturers catalog.

In their catalog (and web site) there is no 010813068, only 010813060 (01 08 13 06 0 in the catalog).

010813060 is Silver gray (RAL 7001) on both the body and cover. The DigiKey page for it is: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/rose-enclosures/010813060/2164031

The only difference versus the 010813068 page is “Gray Cover” vs “Unpainted Cover”, So I assume that 010813060 is the standard part with silver gray on both parts and 010813068 is silver gray body and an unpainted cover (useful for grounded connectors).

There is no indication of what options 0 to 7 and 9 are like.

Thanks for prompt and clear reply. You found more information than I could and that suggests strongly that unfortunately, this part is not suitable as we need a fully un-painted style.

You can send a quote request to modenclosures@digikey.com to request an unpainted enclosure. Please note that there may be minimum quantities.

It’s a good thought but would very likely fall foul of DigiKey’s MOQ unfortunately as we only need 25 so I’m considering buying them as they are and getting the paint stripped off.

Still submit the request. I don’t recall what the MOQ for Rose is, but Hammond has a MOQ of 25 and Bud doesn’t have a MOQ. Sometimes there are circumstances where the MOQ is higher, but the MOQ is set by the supplier, not DigiKey.

I’ve got a live enquiry with Rose to sort out beyond doubt what the correct part number for a fully un-painted box is - when/if that appears I will ask DigiKey for a quote.
