Same Sky is a wide-ranging supplier that offers a diverse array of products, including a series of handy encoders in their AMT10 and AMT10E series. We’ve received a number of questions on these products asking what the ‘E’ signifies and how it differs from the AMT10, which the datasheets for the two series do not spell out. What are the differences?
While the datasheets don’t explicitly spell out the significance of the ‘E’, a side-by-side comparison between the two products shows that the ‘E’ product (on the left in the below image) has a wider input voltage range, as well as a slightly different and overall larger pool of resolutions available at a higher duty cycle. You can think of the ‘E’ as an Expanded product in this instance
