Greetings, and thank you in advance to anyone that might have this information.

I am seeking the part number and/or availability of an Actuator Cap for the [Alcoswitch MSPM101C1](https://www.digikey.cn/en/products/detail/te-connectivity-alcoswitch-switches/MSPM101C1/525796) (DigiKey part link); note, I am only seeking the button/cap for the actuator as we occasionally break or lose this component but the switch itself is fine and does not need replacement. If I’m looking at the [data sheet](https://mm.digikey.com/Volume0/opasdata/d220001/medias/docus/2967/MSPM%20Reed%20Switches.pdf) correctly then I need a C22 or C23 cap but that search by itself brings up several items that all look close but not exactly like what I have and I’m not sure if this is just a design update that won’t interfere or if it is a design change that is not compatible with my component.

Note, I’ve already checked with the manufacturer of the equipment that uses this button and they do not know the part information I seek. I also tried the chat here on DK and they told me to post about it in the forum to get an answer.

Again, thank you for any help with tracking this part down.

Hello IN.ACC,

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.

The replacement red cap should be part number [450-1492-ND](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/te-connectivity-alcoswitch-switches/1825068-2/1130673).

This is listed as working with the MSPM series (and others).

If you want to change the color, we also have Black ([450-1490-ND](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/te-connectivity-alcoswitch-switches/1825068-1/1124249)) and Green ([450-1493-ND](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/te-connectivity-alcoswitch-switches/1825068-5/1130674)).

[Click here for the drawing](https://www.te.com/commerce/DocumentDelivery/DDEController?Action=srchrtrv&DocNm=1825068&DocType=Customer%20Drawing&DocLang=English&DocFormat=pdf&PartCntxt=1825068-2). These will be 10mm in diameter.

If you want a larger button that is 15mm diameter, you can look at [450-1495-ND](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/te-connectivity-alcoswitch-switches/1825069-2/1130676), and [Click here for that drawing](https://www.te.com/commerce/DocumentDelivery/DDEController?Action=srchrtrv&DocNm=1825069&DocType=Customer+Drawing&DocLang=English&DocFormat=pdf&PartCntxt=1825069-2).

Excellent, thanks David! This is one of the items I had come up when I was digging but with the identifying part number being different and the drawing showing a different layout where the snap-on occurs I wasn’t sure if it was a good fit or not. I appreciate the clarification and verification (and the extra links!)

Thanks again!
