I am using this Volt/amp meter to measure on a model train layout. The expected rages are 0-25 volts and 0-15 amps AC. I will be providing an independent 14v AC power supply for the meter. Do I need the shunt? If so what.
I take this snip from the datasheet to mean this device needs a DC Power Supply.
For the shunt resistor they indicate you need a 75milliVolt at 50A shunt resistor which I think calculates to 1.5milliOhm. We dont have anything on our shelves in that value but it looks like third party vendor Marketplace has some options.
