Hi,
I am currently trying to source some units from DigiKey to replace SIM7600G-H mPCIE modules that I am using in my research.
As such, I found multiple models and wanted to know which one would fit the most to the original model I am using.
The model I am using is a SIMCom SIM7600G-H R2 LTE Cat-4 mPCIe (SIMCOM reference : S2-109KM-Z31E3); it is not available at the time, and does have a mPCIE port but no SIM slot.
I see the following references on the marketplace :
- SIM7600G-PCIE R2
- SIM7600G-H-PCIESIM
that both are available at the time.
Which one would be a “drop-in” replacement, in a way that doesn’t need to change anything software wise please?
I see that the SIM7600G-PCIE R2 would not include a SIM slot (which is okay since I use an adapter with a SIM slot to power the module anyway).
The SIM7600G-H-PCIESIM in the other hand, would have closer “network capabilities” to the one I currently use, but would feature an onboard SIM slot, as I understand; would this slot be an hassle when using a separate adapter? I would only use the slot on the module (or the one on the adapter, depending on what it requires).
Thanks for your help,
Anthony
